Padabhyanga from Indian translates to Ayurvedic foot massage. This massage is an integral part of the ancient Ayurvedic practice, and the purpose of this practice is to balance the whole body’s physical and energy levels (restore the balance of dosha). Padabhyanga is able to restore vitality and energy, reduce stress, restore blood circulation, treat pain and relieve fatigue. The massage is carried out through the channels of the nadi, through which flows the “prana” – vital energy. It is performed on a massage table using Ayurvedic oils and works through everything from the tips of the fingers to the knees.
The duration of the massage can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
