The Ayurvedic Center “5 Elements spa” employs a highly qualified and professional doctor in the field of Ayurveda, Dr. Namitha Jacob. Our Ayurvedic doctor provides an assortiment with a wide range of traditional Ayurvedic treatments, which have been used traditionally in India for thousands of years now.

Ayurveda begins with a doctor, not a massage
Consultations are given by Dr. Namita Jacob — an Ayurvedic physician with a BAMS degree and ten years of practice.
At 5 Elements Ayurvedic Day Spa, Budapest, Rákóczi út 55.
- A short talk with the doctor before your treatment — free
- Three formats of consultation, plus follow-up
- BAMS degree, Kerala
- Written recommendations in your own language

Three consultation formats
The difference is not the length, it is the depth. The first one answers “what should I take today”, the third one answers “how do I build my year”.
Free
10 minutes
0 Ft
Who it is for: guests who have already come for a massage or a treatment and want to be sure they have chosen the right one.
What the doctor does
Asks briefly how you feel right now — pain, numbness, tension, stress. Suggests a suitable treatment and the right oil for it, and gives you the first recommendations.
What it does not include
Constitution analysis, a nutrition plan or long-term recommendations — those need a full consultation.
How to get it
Mention it when you book your massage — or simply ask at the salon: if the doctor is in, she will come over.
One question
45 minutes
10 000 Ft
Who it is for: guests with one main question about their well-being, or one clear, local condition.
What the doctor does
A focused examination and a focused history. The outcome is the first recommendations plus basic advice on food and daily routine for your particular situation.
The result
A clear answer to one question and what to do about it next. The recommendations arrive by e-mail in your own language.
The fee comes back
If you book a course of treatments or a Panchakarma package of three days or longer, the consultation fee is returned to you.
In depth
60 minutes
12 500 Ft
Who it is for: guests with several symptoms at once, or long-standing, complicated states that need a deeper look.
What the doctor does
Goes through your Prakriti — your natural constitution — and your whole history in detail, connects the symptoms with one another and builds a personal long-term plan for food and daily life.
The result
A road map for the months ahead, not a one-off tip. It arrives by e-mail in your own language, so you can come back to it whenever you need.
The fee comes back
If you book a course of treatments or a Panchakarma package of three days or longer, the consultation fee is returned to you.
Not sure which format is yours? Start with the free talk before your treatment — the doctor will tell you whether that is enough or whether a full consultation makes more sense.

How a full consultation goes
Four steps within 45 or 60 minutes. The doctor writes everything into your patient card, and after the visit sends the recommendations to your e-mail — in your own language.
The conversation
The doctor asks about your daily routine, sleep, appetite, digestion, work — and how much rest you actually get.
Pulse and constitution
Reading your Prakriti — your natural balance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha — and how far your present state has moved away from it.
Food and routine
What to eat and when, how to build your day, adjusted for the current season. The doctor writes it all into your card during the visit.
Choosing treatments
Which treatments and massages suit you specifically, how many sessions, and in what order to take them.

Your doctor
Ayurveda is worth exactly as much as the person who reads you. Our doctor studied where this tradition has never been interrupted.

Frequently asked questions
Is the free consultation really free?
Yes. It is a short talk with the doctor before your massage or treatment, it is not charged separately and it commits you to nothing. Its only purpose is to make sure you take what actually suits you.
How do I get the free consultation?
In two ways. Either mention it when you book your massage — and we will arrange a meeting with the doctor before the treatment. Or simply ask at the salon: if the doctor is in, she will come over to you.
What is the difference between 45 and 60 minutes?
Forty-five minutes is one main question worked through, with clear steps to take. Sixty minutes is for several symptoms at once or a long-standing situation: the doctor goes through your constitution and your whole history, connects the symptoms with one another and builds a plan for the long run.
Do I have to see the doctor before a treatment?
No. Any massage or treatment can be booked on its own. But since the short talk is free, it makes sense to use it — especially if this is your first visit to us.
How should I prepare for the consultation?
Come without a heavy meal in the couple of hours before the visit, and bring the questions that really matter to you. If you are taking anything prescribed by your own doctor, please mention it during the talk.
What language is the consultation held in?
The doctor works in English. If English is not comfortable for you, let us know when booking and we will provide an interpreter into Hungarian or Russian. And with a translation app the consultation works in any language: the doctor is used to this format and speaks calmly and to the point.
Most importantly, all the recommendations reach you by e-mail in your own language. So there is no need to memorise what was said or translate it in your head — the written plan will be clear either way.
What do I get after the consultation?
During the visit the doctor writes into your patient card, and afterwards sends the recommendations to your e-mail — in your own language. The letter contains what was said at the consultation: food, daily routine and the order of treatments with the number of sessions. You can return to it a month later or show it to your own physician.
Will I be pushed into a long package?
The doctor writes down what she considers suitable and explains why. What you take after that is entirely your decision — and a single session is a perfectly normal way to start.
Can a consultation be given as a gift?
Yes. A gift certificate can be bought online by card, and the recipient chooses the date themselves.
How do I book?
Send a request through the form on the service page, write to us on WhatsApp or call the salon. We will confirm the time and the doctor’s available slots.

Ayurveda in brief
“Ayur” means life, “veda” means knowledge. Ayurveda literally means “the knowledge of life” and belongs to one of the oldest surviving Indian traditions of caring for health. Its roots are linked to the Vedic era, and official Indian sources speak of more than five thousand years of history. Yet Ayurveda is not only an ancient heritage: today India has university programmes in Ayurvedic medicine, including the full BAMS degree and postgraduate programmes.
The central idea of Ayurveda is balance. According to this tradition, three doshas act in the body — Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Their proportion is individual and is connected with your natural constitution, the Prakriti. This is why Ayurveda has no single universal answer to the question of what is good for everyone: what suits one person may not suit another.
And this is where it becomes interesting.
Ayurveda looks not only at what is happening to a person right now, but also at how they live: how they sleep, what they eat, how active they are, what climate they are in, what season it is and even what their daily schedule looks like. The classical texts treat health as the result of body, mind and senses working in agreement, and maintaining health as a task in its own right, not merely as the treatment of illness.
That is exactly why a consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor does not begin with picking a massage from a menu. The doctor builds the whole picture, identifies your individual features and only then puts the recommendations together. What makes Ayurveda interesting is above all its personal approach: not “one treatment for everyone”, but the search for what suits you in particular.
There is one more curious fact: in classical Ayurveda, medicine was never limited to massage or medicinal plants. The tradition developed along several lines at once — from internal medicine and surgery to paediatrics, care for the elderly and other specialised fields. The ancient treatises already divided Ayurvedic medicine into eight branches.

An Ayurvedic consultation provides personal recommendations on lifestyle, nutrition and the choice of treatments. It is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace the advice or prescriptions of your treating physician.
